It was a great day for the Maintenance and Mend event August 29 at Carl Dreher and Charlotte Bristow's abode. Participation was down some this year, but that just meant more pizza, salad, and drinks for each. Thank you Charlotte for efforts, as always.

Jeff Smith had his Morgan in early for some electrical diagnostic issues, which, as expected, were cured with Carl's able assistance. Similarly, Paul Mc Caleb and Carl were able to identify and solve the electric fan problems on the Boyles +4+. Traci Murphy had a "to do" list for her +4, which Jeff, Paul and Carl set up to satisfy. I understand the car returned a few days later to complete the last of the chores. Irwin Gordon made an appearance with his 1992 +8, but had to leave before any service could be commenced. A car that new probably didn't need anything anyway.

Other attendees were Judi Boyles, Yvonne Smith, Linda Noland, Joe Aid (not mentioned in the newsletter) and Dick Hawkins, the latter hobbling around on a cane, as had recently "blown out" his knee and were awaiting a forthcoming operation.
