Another MMCC Occasionally Annual Rally

Barbara Simmons/ Chuck Harris again crafted a challenging rally through the Park Cities on a beautiful Spring day. All participants were competing in their open roadsters.

Besides luring the participants with brain teasing questions, the route wound through the stately homes and beautiful gardens of the area. In fact an open house tour of one of the homes lured the team of Paul McCalib and Dick Hawkins to stop and browse. As they were a little short of pocket change for the $2 million asking price at the moment, they re-joined the rally.

Ronnie Flener debuted her new Morgan traveling ensemble for the forthcoming trips east with Blake, as well as their new Morgan Safari top for open air motoring. Similarly, Bill and Judi Boyles debuted their 4/4 Sophie on the local scene with her new paint job. Thus they were present when Traci and Roy Murphy arrived to present the Boyles with a special sign for their elaborate new carport - "The Taj Garage".

The rally commenced and ended at the Stoneleigh P, a famous (infamous) watering hole owned by fellow Morgan owner and Club member, Tom Garrison - who graciously donated all beverages.

As expected from Barbara and Chuck, the tour and rally were flawless. They even awarded prizes. Recipients were:

1st Judi and Bill Boyles

2nd Yvonne and Jeff Smith

3rd Traci and Roy Murphy

4th Paul McCalib/Dick Hawkins

A great outing with great weather. It certainly whets your appetite for the other forthcoming events. Thanks Chuck and Barbara.
