Saturday ANTIDOTE
TO WHITE LINE FEVER
14 November2009 Since some club members have recently logged more miles than the historic Mono Bay trip years ago, I am proposing a non-driving event It’s a combination Rallye and pub crawl, but without cars or booze (unless you bring your own). A walking tour of 3 antique stores on Industrial: Meet at 11 km. at Found Antiques (Industrial and Leslie, one block north of Howell) in front or on the side of the building. We’ll do about 45 minutes at Found, the same at Lost and end at Griffin Trading Co.. Lunch follows after a short drive to Bishop Arts District (Maps provided on Saturday.) Numerous restaurant options exist at Davis and Bishop e.g., El Jordan Café, Café Brazil, Hatties, etc. Walkers will answer a set of questions in each location. For example, which motorcycle would Carl Dreher prefer in collection at Lost and what two-wheeled vehicle would Linda Noland select? So like a scavenger hunt, you need to find things, but not take them (unless you decide to buy). Person with most correct answers buys lunch for the rest of us. Hope to see you there. If can’t make the tour, catch up for lunch. (Dick Hawkins 214-368-5378 for questions.)
