On Sunday, July 25^th members of the Morgan Club made their way to historic down town McKinney for a hot foot rally and mini pub crawl.  We made our way past the newly erected street barricades’ and found Churchill’s Pub on the square where we dined and visited.

  Soon Judi Boyles, the rally master, pulled out her instruction sheets and sent us off on a clever alphabet rally around the square. 

Judi had taken pictures of signs around the square.  She then cut out a single letter from each sign and put it on the question sheet.  The point of the rally was to find the exact sign that the single letter was part of and write the word on the answer sheet.  Well, that sounded easy enough.  I repeat.  It sounded easy enough.   We had 77 minutes to finish the rally. 

After examining the background of each letter and the font we found that the task was certainly not easy.  You have no idea how many signs there are until you are looking for a single letter.  No one in the competition got all the questions answered.

First place was taken by Jeff & Yvonne Smith.

Second place went to Bernard & Aran Siegal.

Third place went to Carl Dreher & Charlotte Bristow.
