On the Road Again to “Paradise”

OCTOBER 2010
Are we sure we want to plan an out-of-town trip in late November? Well, at least 15 or so were sure and made the trip down to Art and Patsy's estate, just outside of Malone, Texas on November 2oth. This included 5 Morgans, a Jaguar XKE, and a Lotus (plus Art’s Morgan at home) that were pulled out from under the winter wraps and ventured into a chilly morning that turned, North Texas style, into a 70 degree afternoon of brilliant sunshine.

Besides the 1 ˝ hour trip down there in the morning chill, all arrived to enjoy a picnic lunch on the veranda, followed by a really/tour of the countryside arranged by Art. Upon return, desserts and coffee were enjoyed as people viewed Art’s collection of some 13 eclectic vehicles, a few of which even run. Sadly, his Morgan is in the non-running class for right now.

After much visiting and an advisory committee look at Patsy’s propane range to determine if the gas should really send flames entirely up the sides of the oven (it was determined that maybe this shouldn’t happen and an expert must be called in), the afternoon was coming to a close and farewells were said.

Thank you Art and Patsy for the enjoyable day at “Paradise”

Love the gnome!
