Day One As dawn replaced the overnight full moon, the adventurers congregated in Rowlett to commence the route to Watkins Glen. The group was made up of Bob Nogueira, Blake and Ronnie Flener, Traci and Roy Murphy, Bill and Judi Boyles and Art Kampshafer?Patsy Lytle. All the group except Murphy hit the road at 8:30 with the Murphys catching up in Texarkana. We then pushed up together through Arkansas. Everyone exited at Malvern for lunch and photo ops' The Photo op didn't happen and after an Italian fire drill search a lunch place was spotted. All went so smoothly, some 510 miles were covered this first day, ending in Kennet Missouri at 7:00 PM' Now ahead of schedule we look forward to day two. |
