Another 409 Miles, Start time again was 8:30 with the group finally finding a home in Lexington, KY at 6:30 PM cst. Counting down time, you can see we are making almost 41 mph this second day.

This day was a study in mis-organization. Leaving the motel in the morning all proceeded the opposite direction from the route.

Three corrected themselves, two did not. After a couple of cell phone calls at least four got together, but Art continued ahead on his own.

At the first gas stop, the group were stalled from 9:20 to 11:40, and still had not entered Kentucky. The Murphys were seeking someone to cash a travlers check and after an hour and 40 minutes, still found no takers. Meanwhile, Art awaited on the border in Fulton, Ky for the group to arrive. But the group bypassed Fulton so no contact was made.

Next Nogueira sent the remaining trio on as he tended to a couple of matters. The group of five now reduced to a group of three briefly got off course, and during that interval both Nogueira and Art bypassed the group on the preplanned route. In the effort of the two to "catch up", they in effect pushed way ahead of the trio. In frustration Boyles, Murphy and Flener stopped for lunch separately from the other two, who were far ahead. Finally through cell phone communication, all were united at 4:30 in Leithchfield, Ky. There they proceeded without further incident to Lexington.

The good news is all the cars are running, flawlessly only the drivers are having trouble. And they did reach their projected finish point for the second day, so what will tomorrow bring? Anyway due to the time change it starts an hour earlier, CST.
