After a 280 mile short day out of Auburn, it was decided to push this long day. Departure time was 8:00 AM. (that’s as close as we have been able to get to a 8:00 AM departure) The it was leave Bryant Arkansas on I 30 and go! Another totally cloudless day greeted us with temperatures in the 70’s. The only diversion was a 6 mile detour for and “Incident”, as labeled on the highway. Don’t know what the “incident” was. Anyway, without any personal incident , we got home about 3:00 PM having entered the Republic of Texas around 11:30AM.

310 miles today to add onto the 482 miles we did on the long day yesterday.

Not reflected in the statistics were the opportunities to meet old friends and acquaintances and make many new friends and acquaintances. No appreciable rain was encountered by the caravan group for the entire route. And, there was a complete absences of needed ‘ by the side of the road’ repairs’, so no photo opportunities,
