MORGAN MOTOR CAR CLUB

BLUEBONNET TOUR / PICNIC

SATURDAY, APRIL 19TH
Well, it was one of those days. Perfect weather, perfect winding and hilly roads, perfect planning and organization and perfect company. Arriving for the start of the Bluebonnet Tour to Ennis, organized by Barbara Simmons and Chuck Harris, were eight Morgans piloted by Bill and Judi Boyles, Jan Diehl, Chuck and Barbara, Shawn McBride, Charles McGeough and Cathy Rich, Traci Murphy and Bob Nogueira (listed alphabetically, I think). Morgan owners, but not Morgan mounted, were Carl Dreher in his Lotus Europa and Patsy & Art  in Patsy's PT Cruiser. Quite a turnout!!

Chuck and Barbara's route led us out of Dallas, through Red Oak, Ferris, Rocket, Palmer, Crisp and finally to the bluebonnet fields around Ennis. Alas, the flowers were few this year due to the dry autumn (they say), but the route and weather were worth the tour in itself.

At the Bluebonnet Park outside Ennis, we enjoyed a picnic lunch in a small pavilion among the towering trees. After several hours of conversation, trading stories, experiences, tech tips and projected future events, the group disbanded. . . Shawn to an evening car show, McGeough to evaluate some "yard art" available at the festival grounds in Ennis, Chuck and Barbara to feed their horses, etc.

Next event. Car Show at White Rock Lake Park - Dallas.
